Sears Holdings Names New President of Key Business Unit

       Scott Freidheim to Lead Kenmore, Craftsman & DieHard Business

    HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., Feb 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears Holdings
(Nasdaq: SHLD) announced today as part of the continuing transformation of
the company, Scott Freidheim has been appointed EVP, President - Kenmore,
Craftsman & DieHard.

    "Scott is a strong leader who will heighten our focus on our Kenmore,
Craftsman and Diehard brands," said Bruce Johnson, Interim CEO and

    Scott will continue to serve as a member of the internal holding

    Prior to joining Sears in 2009 as EVP, Operating and Support
Businesses, Scott was with Lehman Brothers for over 17 years, holding
officer positions in the Investment Banking, Investment Management and
Corporate Divisions including EVP, Chief Administrative Officer.
