TROY, Mich., September 30, 2003 -- Following the successful launch of her apparel and home collection, Kmart Management Corporation (NASDAQ: KMRT) and international superstar Thalia Sodi today announced the launch of Thalia, her signature scent which is available exclusively at select Kmart stores.

“Applying fragrance is always my last step in dressing up,” said Sodi. “A signature scent is the ultimate accessory for the fashionable woman. Thalia is created with all of my favorite scents in mind.”

Thalia has a topnote of fresh green florals, lily of the valley and hyacinth. The middle is comprised of jasmine, rose and geranium. The dry down occurs as a result of sandalwood with touches of cinnamon and clove. The scent is on-trend; a fresh, modern floriental.

Prior to creating her fragrance, Sodi worked with Kmart and professional perfumers through the fragrance-testing process to determine the ingredients common to those she most enjoyed.

The innovative design of the Thalia bottle is an exact replica of the superstar’s own lips. The bottle is custom-designed clear glass into which the impression of her lips is debossed. The packaging of the fragrance is the signature hot pink that can be found on signage throughout Kmart stores, marking the areas where the Thalia Sodi Collection is available.

Thalia fragrance is available in 1.7 fl oz/50 ml ($19.99) and 1.0 fl oz/30 ml ($12.99). Thalia fragrance mist and body lotion are also available. A custom-made charm in the shape of the heart used in the Thalia Sodi trademark logo will be included in gift sets available for the holiday season.
