CORRECTION - KMART IMPLEMENTS ENERGY REDUCTION EFFORTS

Kmart Corporation corrects the subheading in the news release issued on Energy Reduction Efforts in California. The subheading should have read: California Energy Commission provides $2 million Energy Reduction Grant to Kmart. Also the reference to the 11,500 residents who will benefit from an energy consumption reduction is based on an annual calculation as established by EPA Energy Star Guidelines and reflects the energy savings that will be available to local residents and does not relate to identifying individual consumer accounts. This project reduces Kmart capacity by over 8 megawatts statewide annually.
