Home Services is a business unit operating within Sears Holdings Corporation and represents a key competitive advantage for the company. Interacting with over 48 million households each year, the Home Services business is the premier provider of services in the retail industry and includes the delivery and installation of merchandise, in-home and carry-in product repair, technical and customer support via the telephone, and the sale of home improvement products and replacement parts.

RESPONSIBILITIES >>
Interns spend their time working in the corporate office and are assigned specific projects throughout the internship. This project work will allows the intern to apply what has been learned in the classroom into a business setting. As a member of the Home Services team, your goal as an intern will be to provide support to business owners to establish and support strategic business direction. You will learn how to identify project value to the business, review and make recommendations on process flows that impact the customer experience, and further develop your analytical skills. Your performance in the internship will be assessed through formal and informal evaluations.

- Update logistics and carry-in database and implement changes based on needs
- Analyze Freight Lines and Route shipping
- Develop process for self diagnostic appliances
- Determine market price for services and factors that drive this
- Assist in developing underwriting costs by geographical market
- Review parts pricing strategy and make recommendations for improvement
